Valerie Shaw

You won’t have to look too hard to find Valerie Shaw after hours. She’ll be snuggled up on her back porch with a good book, or maybe on her couch watching a movie out of her 300+ strong DVD collection.

Valerie moved to Clarksville in 2002 when she was transferred to Ft. Campbell with the Army. She loves the small town atmosphere even though it is a large city. She and her husband, ElGreco, are members of Faith Outreach Church. Valerie regularly volunteers her time to assist with activities at the senior citizen homes.

Coming from a large family of 12, Valerie has an understanding for responsibility. She is completely dedicated to whatever she does and is fiercely loyal to both family and friends. In addition she is very detail oriented. Valerie lives by the motto, “I work hard so that you don’t have to.”

Valerie retired with 21 years of military service and 2 combat tours to Iraq. She has seen the conditions in which the Iraqis live. This and the fact that she has seen many of our soldiers live in these same poor conditions have ignited a passion to help. Her Real Inspiration is to help as many military families as she can find good homes in which to live.
